Recognized Firewise Community/USA

The community of Hopkinsville (Ashley County) is home to approximately 50 residents. Served by the Berlin Fire Department and Fire Chief Ragan Hunter, Hopkinsville became a certified community in October of 2009. Berlin FD chose two projects for this community - both private residences. The two homes pictured below were chosen because of elderly and/or sick homeowners who benefited greatly from the work provided.. Hopkinsville has shown through this picture narrative an excellent example of how FireWise projects can be used to help communities at a very personal level.
