The community of Huff (Independence County) became a FireWise community in December of 2009. With a population
of approximately 400 residents, Huff is served by the Southside Fire Department under Fire Chief Jeremy Loggins.
Huff was one of six communities certified by the Southside Fire Department near Batesville, Arkansas.
