  
The August 2005 Arkansas FireWise Home of the Month belongs to Mike and Susan Gibbons, who reside just south of Ozark in Franklin County.
A non-wood roof, non-combustible siding and brick construction keep the Gibbons' home safe from wildfire. The home's address is well-marked at the driveway and displayed on the mailbox opposite the entrance along the highway. Woods on the south and west side of the house are more than 100 feet away, which provides more than adequate defensible space. |
