Cleburne County Fire Chiefs Meeting
A Firewise meeting with the Cleburne County Fire Chiefs Association was held at the Office of Emergency Management in Heber Springs May 22, 2007. A presentation of the Firewise Communities/USA recognition process was provided by David Samuel, Arkansas FireWise Coordinator, and risk assessment training was scheduled for mid-June. Clint Triplett, Cleburne County Ranger II, shared his experience during his fire detail in Southeastern Georgia. A Firewise meeting was held at the Greers Ferry City Hall Jan. 9, 2006. The meeting included an Introduction to the Firewise Communities/USA recognition process, followed by wildfire risk assessment training. Attending were Fire Chief Jery Lee, Brad Steely, Craig Harvey, David Holly, Troy Sheets, Jody Coy, Jeff Bittle, Byron Sawrie, Don Ware, Courtland Harper, Ernie Myshree, Helen Bryant, Linda Deurmon, Ray Owen, Bo Enlel, Bruce Mruphree, Millie Lee, Ernie Hunt, Arkansas Forestry Commission Cleburne County Ranger II Clint Triplett and Arkansas FireWise Coordinator David Samuel. "A special thanks to Clint Triplett for setting up the meeting, and to Fire Chief Jerry Lee for his commitment to Arkansas FireWise," said Samuel.
