The Standridge home, located approximately three miles south of Dennard along Highway 65 in Van Buren County, was selected the December 2006 Arkansas FireWise Home of the Month. David Samuel, Arkansas FireWise Coordinator, nominated this home following a trip to Northwest Arkansas.

The home is surrounded with an extensive lawn that provides more than enough defensible space to make up for the site's steep terrain.
