David Samuel, Arkansas FireWise Coordinator, nominated the home following a trip to Union County. The Biggers home was constructed six years ago. It is made of concrete and Styrofoam so it can withstand a variety of natural disasters — including wildfire. The structure is surrounded with an immense defensible space, as well as a large pond that circles halfway around the front of the home. |
