FireWise Recognition Ceremonies

Recognition ceremonies are a small way that the FireWise team and Arkansas Forestry Commission
personnel can thank communities for certifying with the program. Toward the end of each year, new communities
are honored with formal recognition during a luncheon and presentation of awards. Community members, fire department
crews and any other parties involved with a community's FireWise process are invited to attend. Local newspapers
often provide coverage for the event.
