State Parks have made commitments to becoming Firewise in an effort to
prevent another major wildfire like the one on Petit Jean Mountain the
summer of 2000. The group at right attended a meeting at Hobbs State
Park to discuss the state park and creating a FireWise board for the
area. Attending the meeting were Kora Kirgan, Judy Duguid, Janice
Parker, Richard Polakowski, Jim Mayer, George Stowe-Rains and David
Samuel. The photos below show the clean-up efforts made at Hobbs State
Park Conservation Area.
