The
U.S. Forest Service Womble Ranger Station at Mt. Ida was the first
member of the Arkansas FireWise Honor Roll. Workers cleared away
dangerous ladder fuels and underbrush around the Womble headquarters.
Through their effort, the wildfire risk to the Womble Ranger Station has
been greatly reduced.
