Living on the Edge Training
Fayetteville
May 20, 2004

The Arkansas Forestry Commission sponsored this Living on the Edge training in cooperation with Interactive Training Media, which has created interactive CDs for Firewise training in Arkansas. These sessions were held at the Radisson Hotel in Fayetteville. As can be seen in the photo at right, there was quite a crowd with 72 participants.

This was the fourth of four Living on the Edge training sessions. The first was in Little Rock on Jan. 15, 2004, the second was in Ozark on Feb. 17,2004, and the third was in Forrest City on April 8, 2004. These sessions train the trainers, who will then go out and train "civilians."

The night before, the trainers enjoyed an Italian meal courtesy of Jim Gilpin of Interactive Training Media, and were provided a complete breakfast buffet the next morning before the meetings began. Attendees were also given numbered tickets for the many door prize drawings.

Shep Zedaker was the facilitator for the training session, and the audience paid close attention as they were introduced to the interactive CD "Living on the Edge in Arkansas" created by ITM.

Breakout sessions were held during the morning and afternoon sessions, and the whole group assembled in the main room to report their findings.
