U.S. Forest Service Womble Ranger Station & AFC Montgomery County Office

Workers again cleared away dangerous ladder fuels and underbrush around the headquarters located in Mount Ida in the spring of 2008. Prescribed burns, like the ones performed at the Womble Ranger Station, help reduce wildfire risk by decreasing the amount of fuels between the forest and structures.
