This year, as in the past 4 years, Maggie Arrington, a Registered Forester with the Arkansas Forestry Commission, has led a prize winning team. This yearâs first place for Miller County's FireWise parade float was no surprise.
The Four States Fair is the “Big Deal” in Texarkana; the name hints that itâs important for the four surrounding states, Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. The Four States Fair kicks off with a parade, and the festivities continue for 9 days.
In addition to the FireWise float, AFC has a booth at the fair that they staff every night and on weekends. Maggie reports that the Miller County Crew, Doug Cherry, Denise Turner, and Charles Poe, have just been outstanding to work with.
Obviously this is a first class team!
